about us

bcause i said so™ --- a joint venture between two sisters --- is the newest baby in our family. as with our other babies, we conceived it, spent months preparing for it, and when the time came, we let out a scream and a big sigh of relief.

with our hands already full with five children and dozens of nieces, nephews and young cousins between us, we started this company as a way to show off our younger babies' accomplishments and shortcomings, and as a way for our bigger babies to express themselves, too. bcause i said so™ is dedicated to celebrating the milestones, achievements and even mishaps of children and their parents. our inspiration comes from our very own brood of little ones, and we love them dearly for it.

our first three product lines of novelty t-shirts, proud baby™ , cautious baby™, and fresh baby™, target the major milestones and hazards in the first few years of life (with a big focus on the first year), as well as a few well-worn sentiments. embrace them all and shout your child's achievements, mishaps and feelings from the rooftops - or at least let them wear them on their shirts. our goal is to nurture and grow each product line, develop additional lines, and introduce a maternity/adult line in the near future. these are our babies, too, so check back regularly to see when new products are born.

we use high-quality, American-made, 100% washable cotton t-shirts. they wear well and look adorable on both boys and girls, if we say so ourselves.

and don't forget to read 'mommy knowledge.' between us, we've got a lot of tricks up our sleeve and because 'sharing is caring,' we'd like to share our wisdom with you. we may not be licensed psychologists or early education teachers, but we have first-hand experience. we know - because we said so.

so, what about our name? we know you're wondering... or, if you've been a mommy long enough, we know you're laughing. it's inevitable, whether you like it or not. that old-school phrase will slip from your lips sooner or later. maybe not for while, while your babies are still young, but some day soon it'll happen. embrace it, make it your mommy mantra, and remember that when all else fails, "because i said so" really does trump all.
